Journal 1So, I've decided that I'm going to start journalling. Normally this means with a pen & paper, personal diary style. That's not what I'm doing. I want to document my daily efforts, good and bad, through this journey. I want a record of it to look back on and maybe someday it will help others out too! as an entrepreneurI got my first sale last week!! That was a pretty exciting day! I didn't think that was too bad for just "opening" mid-February. Always celebrate small accomplishments ;) I'm working on 2 designs right now. One for St. Patrick's Day and one for Easter. They aren't going to be ready for THIS years' holidays but I'm also working on building a repertoire of designs for the coming year. I work better with deadlines so I'm using those days to motivate me. I'm getting more comfortable with my software so that is helping things along. I'm also working on mock-ups for the next design release (Friday, March 11) I'm trying to find a good balance of posting for social media. I'm finding it a little challenging right now but am working on a calendar to have it better organized. Again with the deadlines lol. to health!I've also decided that since I've started this whole thing, last November, I've had many 1 on 1 hours with my computer and it's starting to show! I'm not one to be overly concerned with body image but climbing the stairs is starting to make me winded, time for a change. A healthier me is a happier me. SO, I've started to eat healthier. I'm trying to come up with weekly meal plans to help the budget and it's easier to cook healthy if it's planned ahead and you already have the ingredients. Plus, I HATE throwing food away, so I'm more apt to use these ingredients to avoid throwing them out. On the healthy topic, I've also started to be more active. Taking frequent breaks from my perch and doing some basic yoga poses and breathing exercises, about 5 minutes at a time. Today I climbed my stairs (ironic eh?) for 6 minutes then did sit-ups flat, then on my sides to work my obliques 10 reps, followed by 2, 30 second planks and finally some yoga poses to cool down. I've gotta say, it actually gives me more energy and makes me feel more focused when I am sitting at the computer. Finally, I'm being very conscious about my water consumption. I'm horrible at maintaining a good hydration level so I'm working on that too. oh the clutter!!There are many things I need to upgrade, acquire, and accomplish, they aren't prohibiting me from doing my day-to-day tasks, they are not, however the most efficient or organized and if I've learned anything from Feng-Shui, it's that clutter can inhibit your body and mind. As I look around I know (not that I didn't before) that I need to de-clutter. 'Tis the season. Spring is upon us. You see, starting to de-clutter is like breaking a bad habit. You NEED to set a date. If I notice I NEED to de-clutter, I KNOW it's gone too far. I need to set a date. Tomorrow. Yes tomorrow at 11:00 I am going to tackle 1 thing that needs de-cluttering. I have a list of things I want to accomplish before summer and it needs to be done with a budget in mind. My To Do List
I think it's worth mentioning that this is my "INDOOR LIST". I'm going to tackle this first, THEN I'll take it outside. (Note: the outdoor list is not congruent with my veggie garden list) So, I will see how I make out tomorrow. I plan on taking before and after pictures of my "De-Cluttering Projects". Who knows, maybe they'll help someone else out too! do you have a "to-do" list for spring cleaning?If so let me know what it is in the comments!
